Kv1.3 is a recognized target for the treatment of autoimmune disorders mediated by T lymphocytes. Kv1.3 channel plays an important role in the activation, migration, proliferation and cytokine secretion of T lymphocytes. By regulating the opening and closing of potassium channels, it can regulate the signal transduction pathway, furthermore regulate activation, differentiation, inflammatory secretion of T lymphocytes and macrophage. Selective blocking of Kv1.3 potassium channel has become an important target of immunomodulatory therapy, such as multiple sclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis. The Kv1.3 subunits contain six transmembrane domains (S1-S6), one pore and the intracellular N and C terminal, four subunits constitute functional tetramer.
