These protein complexes are implicated in conditions such as overactive bladder and painful bladder syndrome.

1. Potassium, Calcium-Activated Channels (BK, IK, SK3): These channels regulate urinary bladder contractility and are promising targets for urinary incontinence therapies. BK agonists, which promote bladder relaxation, have been investigated as potential treatments for overactive bladder.

2. Purinergic Receptors (P2X1 and P2X3): These channels contribute to bladder-function regulation and are considered potential therapeutic targets for overactive bladder.

3. Transient Receptor Potential Channels (TRPM8, TRPV1, TRPV4): These channels are found in bladder afferent nerves and may serve as targets for managing overactive bladder, painful bladder syndrome and neurogenic bladder disorders.
