Lysine Acetyltransferases (KATs)

Lysine acetyltransferases (KATs) are an important class of enzymes responsible for acetylating lysine residues on histones and other proteins. This modification contributes to gene-expression regulation, protein function, and chromatin dynamics. Dysregulated KAT activity has been implicated in cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and inflammatory conditions.
